Description: Few people know this, but one of the architects of the metric system, the astronomer Pierre Méchain developed his theories in the Natural Park of the Desert de les Palmes. He also died of a mosquito-borne disease and was buried in Castellón. However, it is rumored that his ghost continues visiting the mountains of Benicàssim and trying to cross them back to France, his native land.

Recommendations: sports shoes, cap and a drink. Recommended for families with previous trekking experience.
