Description: The Villas of Benicàssim were requisitioned by the Republican government during the last Spanish Civil War, serving as hospitals and logistic centres to care for the wounded of the International Brigades and the battles of Teruel and Madrid.
The Voramar Hotel also housed such renowned war journalists as Ernest Hemingway and one of his partners, Martha Gellhorn, considered by many to be the first female war journalist in history. It will be they and their convulsive relationship that will guide us along a rarely seen route of the Villas.
Recommendations: Animals are not allowed during the service (except assistance or guide dogs).
