Benicàssim, 13 April 2022
Benicàssim will begin lifeguarding its beaches Thursday 14 April for Easter. “With Easter approaching we will begin lifeguarding. Our well-staffed and well-equipped team will ensure our beaches are used and enjoyed safely”, explained the mayor Susana Marqués.
The entire coast will be lifeguarded until Sunday 24 April, with patrols for the following beaches: Heliópolis, Els Terrers, Torre Sant Vicent, Almadrava and Voramar. There will be seven aid stations and 15 lifeguard towers along the coast.
The team on the beaches for these dates will be composed of 20 lifeguards, two skippers, one beach captain, one registered nurse and one paramedic. This service will be offered from 11 am to 8 pm.
As the Safety Councillor Natividad Alonso added, “once Easter ends, the team will start up again 1 June and work every day until 30 September”.
Besides lifeguarding, Benicàssim’s coast now has seasonal services such as beach bars up and running. Like last year, there are seven bars located along the coast: three at Heliópolis beach, one at Els Terrers, two at Torre de Sant Vicent beach and one at Almadrava beach. In addition, news and ice cream stands on the Pilar Coloma boardwalk may start business over the course of this period.
