On Saturday 23 April Plaza del Trenet will host the 18th annual meeting, which will bring together enthusiasts from cities all across Spain such as Valencia, Alicante, Barcelona, Zaragoza and Seville

Benicàssim will gather model engineer enthusiasts to celebrate the Train Festival. On Saturday 23 April Plaza del Trenet will bring together over 100 enthusiasts from cities all across Spain for the 18th Annual Farja Train Circuit Meeting for Model Engineers. “Plaza del Trenet becomes a meeting place for dozens of residents and visitors who come to enjoy a ride on a miniature railroad. It is a major attraction that brings life to the city throughout the year, and next Saturday it will bring back one of the yearly must-attend events in the railroad enthusiast’s calendar”, stated the mayor Susana Marqués.
The Farja Railroad Cultural Association stated that the event will run from 10 am to 7 pm, during which (except during the lunch break) visitors may hop on board as many trains as they like for 1 euro a ride as a donation for maintaining the facilities.
In addition to the Farja Railroad Cultural Association, other railroad associations from cities all across Spain such as Valencia, Alicante, Barcelona and Zaragoza will be in attendance at the Train Festival with their miniature locomotives and trains.
The award ceremony for the 1st Farja Railroad Photo Contest will also be held at the event. This contest will judge photos that capture the going on’s of Plaza del Trenet including the rails, trains, signals and facilities. The association has received over 50 photo submissions, and there will be a total of 10 awards handed out on Saturday at noon.
