Description: We will visit some of the most compelling features of the religious heritage within the Desert de les Palmes, offering a glimpse into the mystical and spiritual side of this stunning mountainous landscape in Benicàssim. These places, steeped in mystery, evoke a sense of quietness and calm—just a stone’s throw from civilization. Tucked away amidst the red sandstone, the lush green mountains, and the dense vegetation of the ravines, they stand as witnesses to an era when prayer and seclusion defined the daily lives of those who once inhabited these lands. Along the route, we will uncover what life was like for the friars, hermits, and saints who lived here, and learn to identify the traces left by centuries of history upon this unique cultural landscape.
