Synopsis: Nine-year-old Samay, who lives with his family in a remote village in India, discovers cinema for the first time and is absolutely mesmerised. Against his father’s wishes, Samay goes back to the cinema day after day and befriends the projectionist who, in exchange for his food, lets him watch the films for free. He quickly realises that stories become light, light becomes films and films become dreams. Samay and his curious gang, overcome with excitement, research tirelessly to try to capture light and project it in order to watch 35 mm films. Together, they use an innovative trick and manage to make a projector. However, pursuing your dreams often means leaving behind the things you love.
