Torre de Sant Vicent

This was one of the eighteen watchtowers along the coast of what is now the province of Castellón, whose mission was to watch over and defend its coasts from pirate attacks. It dates back to the 16th century.

It has a square floor plan and is built of stone masonry with ashlar corners. It has an embrasured machicolation and two circular turrets at the height of the terrace on the corners of the rear part facing the sea. Access to the interior is via a single door that is one metre eighty above ground level.

The tower is surrounded by a beautiful garden, is located by the sea and has a large leisure area.
