Benicàssim, 4th July 2022

Benicàssim council, through its Tourism department, is promoting family tourism in July and August with “Benicàssim Kids”. This tourism-boosting initiative includes three activities designed for children, taking place in three different areas: near to Eurosol tourist office, Sant Vicent Tower and Trenet park. “Aturfam (the Valencian Association for Family Tourism) has awarded Benicàssim its Family Tourism Municipality stamp, adding our town to the Family Tourism Product Club, and here at the council we are working to promote and support family tourism by putting together a high-quality activity programme which will appeal to kids”, says the mayor of Benicàssim, Susana Marqués.

As part of its children’s entertainment activities, the “Benicàssim Kids” initiative includes three opportunities for children to actively participate. As the Tourism councillor, Cristina Fernández, explains: “after the success of the activities held last season in Sant Vicent Tower and Trenet park, this year we are adding a puppet activity near Eurosol tourist office to bring this coastal area to life on Thursday evenings in July and August”.

Activities begin this week and Tuesdays will see “The Treasure of Sant Vicent Tower”: a game which teaches participants about Sant Vicent Tower’s history and features whilst they puzzle over fun maps to try and find valuable treasure, helped out by a pair of pirates. This activity is intended for children aged between 5 and 10 and there will betwo sessions, at 6:30pm and 8pm. Tickets cost €2.50 and can be bought at Benicàssim’s tourist offices and on its Tourism websitewww.turismo.benicassim.es.

On Wednesdays in July and August, Benicàssim Kids brings you “The Mystery in Trenet Park”, also held in two sessions (at 6:30pm and 8pm). Tickets cost €2.50 and can be bought on Benicàssim’s Tourism website. This game, as well as teaching children about the importance and development of the railway in our town, will see them figuring out fun clues to solve a mysterious case. They will have the help of the Station Manager and a quirky passenger who will not rest until they reach the end of their investigation.

Lastly, on Thursdays in July and August at 8pm (except 21st July), there will be a puppet show: “Story Wagon” next to Heliópolis tourist office. This is a free activity that does not require registration. “Story Wagon” is a show all about the world of puppets, covering adventure and comedy stories, Greek legends and great classics.
